  • Job Title

    Asset Management Sales Engineer

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Position Summary

    Under the direction of IPEC’s President-Owner, the Asset Management Sales Engineer works to ensure that new and existing customers receive the highest level of customer service possible via a detailed knowledge of product and service offerings, and a comprehensive asset management strategy to help ensure the customer’s industrial equipment and service needs are met on a consistent basis.

    The primary role of the Asset Management Sales Engineer is to maintain, update, and sell our services providing an accurate overview of industrial equipment assets in the field of use — this includes working with customers to maintain current assets, and identify the ideal pump, compressor, and meter solution or package for new and existing applications. This role also assists with processing new and existing customer orders, and this role works collaboratively with internal stakeholders to coordinate the warehousing and shipping of component parts and/or custom packaged solutions.

    In addition, this role will be instrumental in helping to further IPEC’s reputation and 70+ years of experience as a leading industrial equipment provider.   

    Essential Functions

    The Asset Management Sales Engineer works as part of a dynamic, collaborative team to:

    • Ensure that new and existing customers receive the sales, engineering, and technical support necessary to meet their needs.
    • Ensure cybersecurity best practices in the design and development of web services and database.
    • Maintain and updates a digital database to track equipment performance, life cycle and maintenance schedules, application, or use, and more.
    • Promote and sell our Asset Management System to existing customers, and prospects.
    • Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline equipment data processing, report generation, and system updates within the asset management platform.
    • Collaborate with software vendors and internal teams to improve and maintain the digital tools used for asset tracking and client reporting.
    • Prepare sales quotes, equipment design recommendations, technical data, and other relevant information to satisfy customer inquiries.
    • Facilitate communication between IPEC customers and our suppliers as a key part of our Asset Management Team.
    • Work in a project management capacity to ensure a smooth, streamlined process at every stage of the customer’s journey, from initial contact, integrating their account into our data management system, to the shipping of component parts and equipment.
    • Engage in customer communication after equipment has been received to assess overall performance and troubleshoot any potential operational issues.
    • Promote and increase our Service Center business with current and new customers using our Asset Management software.
    • Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
    • Follow and comply with all safety and workplace rules and regulations.

    Skills and Competencies

    The Asset Management Sales Engineer must be able to:

    • Read and interpret technical schematics, drawings, and blueprints.
    • Create and manage a digital database that tracks and reports on equipment location, maintenance, and performance data.
    • Manage, maintain, design updates to AMRE service report software and database.
    • Create and maintain an internal IPEC server that links the service reports and database to customer historical asset data and IPEC documents.
    • Demonstrate a strong understanding and ability to work with API and ANSI equipment standards.
    • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of technical writing principles.
    • Resolve technical or engineering problems with components parts and/or equipment.
    • Demonstrate a fluency with cost estimating processes.
    • Work on several projects simultaneously to meet customer or project deadlines.
    • Communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written contexts.
    • Work proficiently and efficiently in Oracle Netsuite, HubSpot, Microsoft Office, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and web-based software.

    Physical Requirements

    The Asset Management Engineer works in both indoor and outdoor environments. Outdoor work may be required when conducting on-site customer visits. 

    Position Type/Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. The standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This role will have its own dedicated workspace with a variety of new equipment, including an iMac computer.

    Travel/Relocation

    This role will work out of IPEC’s brand new, state-of-the-art facility located in Macedonia, Ohio. This role is expected to regularly travel to supplier locations and customer sites.

    Compensation/Benefits

    The salary for this position ranges from $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year based on experience and with the following benefits:

    • Medical insurance (Medical Mutual COSE SMP HSA 4000/100 MMRX) for individuals + family
    • HAS (Health Savings Account) initially funded by the corporation with $4,000.00.
    • 401K + profit sharing plan (pending completion of the eligibility period)

    Position Summary

    Under the direction of IPEC’s President-Owner, IPEC’s Internship Partner works to assist internal stakeholders with the selling, processing, configuring, maintenance, inventorying, and shipping of industrial equipment, including pumps, compressors, and meters. This role will work with each of our divisions to gain an in-depth understanding of IPEC's history, brand, and place as an industry-leading provider of custom industrial equipment solutions. 

    This role will engage with new and existing customers to assist with product sales and service, and this role will also contribute to helping refine current company best practices in the service of increasing internal performance and efficiency. 

    In addition, this role will be instrumental in helping to further IPEC’s reputation and 70+ years of experience as a leading industrial equipment provider.     

    Essential Functions

    The Internship Partner works as part of a dynamic, collaborative team to: 

    • Gain a foundational understanding of IPEC’s operations, including our products, services, industry applications, strategic planning, and annual goals.
    • Conduct research and provide recommendations new ideas or solutions related to a variety of processes, including sales, service, engineering, equipment management, inventorying, and shipping.
    • Engage with current and new customers to respond to inquiries, troubleshoot problems, and assist with sales and ordering processing.
    • Assist with the creation of sales performance and service performance reports.
    • Learn and demonstrate proficiency with IPEC internal software platforms like Oracle and HubSpot
    • Follow and comply with all safety and workplace rules and regulations.

    Skills and Competencies

    Required Education/Experience

    A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in mechanical engineering, or an equivalent technical degree and/or relevant experience. Relevant experience includes at least three or more years of work in: 

    • A chemical, petrochemical, or industrial plant setting.
    • Sales of chemical process equipment 
    • Project engineering for an engineering and/or construction company

    Position Type/Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. The standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This role will have its own dedicated workspace with a variety of new equipment, including an iMac computer. 

    Travel/Relocation

    This role will work out of IPEC’s brand new, state-of-the-art facility located in Macedonia, Ohio. This role is expected to travel up to 50% of standard workdays.

    Compensation/Benefits

    The salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $110,000 per year based on experience. Benefits include:

    Position Summary

    Under the direction of the IPEC Service Manager, the Pump Shop Mechanic disassembles, cleans, inspects, and helps troubleshoot various types and brands of industrial pumps, compressors, and meters. The Pump Shop Mechanic possesses a comprehensive understanding of engineering standards and specifications to ensure components perform to customer and/or regulatory specifications.

    The Pump Shop Mechanic also understands the design and engineering principles of common industrial equipment, specifically centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, compressors, seals, and seal flush plans. As part of our shop and warehouse team, the Pump Shop Mechanic also assembles, tests, and prepares equipment for shipping and assists with fulfilling parts orders for shipment.

    Essential Functions

    The Pump Shop Mechanic works as part of a dynamic, collaborative team to:

    • Read, interpret, and understand blueprints and/or technical schematics and drawings to assemble, disassemble, clean, or service a variety of industrial equipment
    • Perform root cause failure analysis (RCA) of equipment to better identify and understand performance and/or operational issues
    • Clearly and concisely convey equipment issues or failures verbally and in writing to the shop supervisor to help establish priorities and project timelines
    • Operate a range of machines and/or instruments designed to increase the precision and accuracy of pumps, compressors, and accessories
    • Help create work estimates that identify the necessary manpower and work hours for projects
    • Assist with the warehousing, inventorying, and shipping of customer orders
    • Assist with the loading and unloading of less-than-truckload (LTL) orders and shipments
    • Complete tasks as assigned in a deadline-oriented environment
    • Follow and comply with all safety and workplace rules and regulations
    Skills and Competencies

    The Pump Shop Mechanic must be able to:

    • Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot pumps, compressors, and meters
    • Conduct research and gather resources and information to create a scope of work and repair recommendation document
    • Create detailed documentation of equipment performance and/or maintenance issues
    • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly with extremely technical or complex concepts
    • Demonstrate an exceptional knowledge of shop mathematics
    • Work independently to complete tasks in a timely or deadline-driven manner
    Physical Requirements and Demands

    The Pump Shop Mechanic will work primarily in the IPEC shop and will be required to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods. This role also requires the ability to lift, carry, or position objects of all sizes weighing up to 50 pounds. 

    Required Education/Experience 
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum five years of maintenance mechanic and/or pump shop experience
    • Apprenticeship preferred
    Licenses/Certifications
    • Driver's license (Required)
    • Tow motor certification (Preferred)
    Position Type/Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. The standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, though this role will occasionally be required to work overtime based on project or customer need.

    This role will have its own dedicated workspace with a variety of new equipment, including an iMac computer.

    Travel/Relocation

    This role will work out of IPEC’s brand new, state-of-the-art facility located in Macedonia, Ohio. No travel is required. The ability to reliably commute to IPEC’s Macedonia facility is required.

    Compensation/Benefits

    The salary for this position ranges from $38,500 to $48,000 per year based on experience. Benefits include:
